Fashion designer Naomi Goodsir was born in Canberra, Australia, in 1966. Her family later moved to London where she studied fashion.

Goodsir began her fashion career after graduating from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with a degree in fashion design, marketing and illustration by working for the design company Mulberry. She eventually left to establish her own fashion label.

Her line of handbags was launched in 2002. The line of accessories, handbags and shoes have been described as an “avant-garde take on classic English designs”. Based on the principles of the British Gentleman’s style, the women’s ready-to-wear collection is characterized by printed silkscreen prints. Naomi Goodsir has also designed men’s wear and childrenswear collections.

She continues to design in collaboration with other artists, such as artist Antony Gormley and sculptor Peter Fend.

Goodsir is considered a pioneer of British street style fashion. Her “Naomi” label has been worn by celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss, Britney Spears, Victoria Beckham and Michelle Obama . Naomi Goodsir has designed several collections for the Conservative Party including one for the wives of those running for prime minister. She has also designed clothes for charity events such as the Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet event. In 2013, she designed outfits for Princess Beatrice’s wedding .
